Have a Great Weekend!
Dear Kennebunk High School Families:
Have a fantastic weekend everyone! The sun is starting to come out and weather moving forward appears to be changing. Sunshine is a welcome sight at this point!
Enjoy your weekend.
Parking Permits:
Students must register their vehicles with Officer Champlin. Each car should display a parking permit at school each day. In a recent check less than half of the cars in the parking lot displayed the permit. Please make sure to follow through on this request. Any questions please contact Officer Jason Champlin. Thank you!
Identification:
When entering the building during school hours visitors will be required to scan their license into our Indent-a-Kid software. This is a precaution that all schools are required to abide by.

State of Maine Testing
9th grade: NWEA
10th grade: the Maine Through Year Assessment - NWEA
11th grade: Science
Students in these grades must participate. The great news is that once they are done their testing the students may go home. Because, these tests are so important we have made this the only thing that the students need to do on this particular day. It's important for students to take this seriously and try their hardest. In the fall - the students did an amazing job and we are looking forward to the same effort!
Students in grade 12 who are not participating in a Senior Project are not required to attend on this day.
Any questions please feel free to reach out.
Girls Lacrosse Sets State Record
Congratulations to the current team and all the players before who have helped with the record. There are a lot of former players who were key contributors!
Senior Slideshow - TIME SENSITIVE
Dear Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2023,
A well-loved KHS graduation week tradition is the Senior Slideshow. A few weeks ago, your senior was asked to submit two photos of themselves to be included in the Slideshow: their baby photo and their senior photo.
Although the initial deadline to submit these photos for the Senior Slideshow has passed, we still only have a few submissions. Please have your senior email their photos (both senior, baby, and any others from our high school years they would like to share) to Bella at 23irossborough@rsu21.net by Friday, May 5th. Please make sure “Senior Slideshow” is in the subject line to ensure we receive the email.
We want as many people to be included in the slideshow as possible!
Thank you!
Bella Rossborough and Ellie Thombs
It's Telegrad Time
Send a Telegrad Letter to a Class of 2023 Student!
Please read the message below for more information. Our hope is for all of our graduates to feel supported and confident as they make this transition to the next phase in their lives. This well-loved tradition gives relatives, community members, and friends a way to positively impact our graduates' special day, so please share this information with as many people as possible. (Also, please emphasize that NO MONEY OR GIFT CARDS or anything of value should be included with the Telegrad.) Following Project Graduation, each graduate will be given an envelope with the correspondence collected for them. Students who do not attend Project Graduation will be able to pick up their envelopes at KHS on Monday 6/5.
Class of 2023 family members, coaches, friends, and community members:
You are invited to send a “Telegrad” letter to show your support for our seniors. Let the graduates know how proud you are of their accomplishments! Your Telegrad letter can be any length or printed format– a card, poem, song lyrics, quote, or heartfelt letter are great options. The only requirements are that the Telegrad is positive and encouraging, includes no money or gifts, and will fit in a 9x12 envelope.
3 WAYS TO SUBMIT YOUR TELEGRAD
Enclose your Telegrad letter in a sealed envelope with your graduate’s first and last name. Drop the envelope in the “Telegrad” box located in the school’s main office by Friday, May 26th.
Mail your Telegrad letter by May 20th to:
Kennebunk High School
Telegrad for Student First Name, Last Name
Attn - Susan Thombs
89 Fletcher St.
Kennebunk, ME 04043
Be sure your graduate’s first and last name is clearly identified on the mailed envelope.
If you cannot mail or drop off your letter in time, email your Telegrad letter to sthombs@rsu21.net with “Telegrad” and the student’s first and last names in the subject line by Friday, May 26th.
PLEASE NOTE: The student’s first & last name MUST be included to ensure the Telegrad is given to the correct student.
DO NOT INCLUDE: money, checks, gift cards, or anything valuable
Please forward this to family and friends for your senior to receive as many Telegrad letters with encouraging words and well wishes as possible! Thank you for your effort to make this special activity successful!

Final Exam Important Details
Buses will run at their normal times to and from school. After the last exam each day at 11:45, there will be four buses that will follow the late bus routes. The buses will have signs for what area they are covering.
The regular after-school buses will also do a quick drive-through around 2:00 p.m. There will be no late buses at 4 PM for this week.
Students do not have to be in attendance if they do not have an exam scheduled. The library will be open for quiet study. The cafeteria will also be open.
Students who have two exams in one day are required to stay at school during the break. They may not leave school and return. If teachers administer an exam, it will count for 10% of the semester average.
