Kids registered by the deadline will receive a personalized punch card

This years theme is Reading Across America. We have lots of fun and exciting activities planned throughout the month to celebrate reading. Below is a link to our parent letter that was sent home last week that highlights our activities.

Book Fair March 10 - 17

Our Spring book fair will be taking place from March 10 - 17 here at Smith. The below link will take you to our homepage for the book fair where you can preview featured items and date/times the book fair will be open.


Late Start is Thursday March 9

School Starts at 11:32 a.m.

Please remain in the lobby area until 11:25 a.m. Bell will ring for students to enter hallways at 11:25 a.m.

Kindergarten Round up is Tuesday March 21

School Volunteers/Visitors

Please check in with the office when you arrive. You will be required to wear a visitors badge

All volunteers are required to have a background check on file. Background checks are good for one full year. Please contact the main office or Mr. Edwards if you have any questions.

Morning Drop Off/Afternoon Pick Up

As a reminder, we ask that all parents remain in the lobby area before the bell rings at 8:52 and before the bell rings at 3:45 at the end of the day. Thank you for your cooperation.

Regular School Day - 8:57 - 3:45

Late Start Days - 11:32 - 3:45


8:40 - Breakfast opens

8:50 - 2nd and 3rd graders line up outside of classes

8:52 - Bell rings for students to enter hallways and classrooms

8:57 - School Starts

*Please try not to drop off your child any earlier than 8:45 a.m. Thank you!


3:35 - Kindergarten released to buses and parent pick up

3:42 - 1st - 3rd grade Kids Club, Walkers, and pick ups released

3:45 - All bussers released

Late Start Days

11:32 - 3:45

  • Students will eat lunch
  • Each class will receive 40 minutes of specials
  • Normal afternoon recess

Insurance and Maintenance Fee for Chromebooks

If you are still in need of assistance with the Insurance/Maintenance Fee for our 1:1 Chromebooks, please contact Mr. Edwards as soon as possible. We encourage you to set up a payment plan, whether it's $1/week or a month, or what every you can manage, we will work with each family to ensure your students device is covered
