Winter Testing Window
Winter Testing Window
January 4-February 5 is the HSD Winter Assessment window. Students will be completing mid-year assessments in the areas of math and reading in order to inform teachers of progress. Your teacher can let you know of their plans for assessments. It is important to remember that it is just one measure.
PLAYGROUNDS AND FIELDS ARE NOW OPEN
School playgrounds and open fields are now available for community use. Families are welcome to use playgrounds and open fields during* and after school hours and do so at their own risk. (*Once schools resume in-person learning for students, playgrounds and open fields will be off-limits to the community during school hours.)
Turf fields and stadiums remain closed for any community use.
Tennis courts are open for use by Hillsboro Parks and Recreation and in accordance with existing agreements.
Playground equipment will not be sanitized by school staff, so visitors are encouraged to take health and safety precautions.
- Follow state guidelines on outdoor recreation activities and face coverings.
- Wash hands before and after visiting the playground.
- Maintain physical distancing of at least 6 feet from people outside your immediate household.

Yearbook Update
As you know, due to the pandemic Lifetouch has not been able to take in-person student pictures for the school this year. This limits our ability to produce a traditional yearbook that includes student, class, and activity photos. But the Indian Hills PTO is working around this! In lieu of using traditional photos, we are asking parents and guardians to submit photos of their students taken during the 2020-2021 school year. In order for your child to be represented in this year's yearbook you must upload a photo of EACH of your students. Please click on the following link to submit your photos, no later than Feb 28th, 2021: https://forms.gle/vQ7bPk9iS115hnSk8

PTO's Valentine Love Project
Hello Bears Families!
We would like to continue to show our elderly community some love and kindness this Valentine's day. The PTO would like you to join us in sending them some extra love! Have your child write a letter, draw a picture, tell a joke or share a story or poem and we will drop them at a local memory care facility. Please drop at the Indian Hills bus loop during the food pantry drop off on Wednesday, February 10th from 10am-11am. Kids can sign their first name or simply put "From your Friend". If you choose to use an envelope, please leave unsealed. They loved all the Christmas cards and we know they would truly appreciate the extra love!
