Syllabus, Student Information, and Student Handbook
Many of you have already returned your documents. Thank you!
If you have not, please make sure to read, sign, and return the following:
- Your child's 2nd Grade syllabus
- The first 2 pages in your child's agenda (The Student Handbook is located online)
- FSA Medical Information Form
- Green Student Information sheet
- The Homeroom App and Class Newsletter Permission Form

If you have not yet returned any of these items, please send them on Monday with your child in the take-home folder they bring home with them this afternoon!
After School Clubs and Aftercare
Next week our After School Clubs and regular Aftercare begin. If your child will be staying for clubs, they will automatically be assigned their clubs each day. If your child is taking music lessons or will be doing one of the paid after school clubs, please let me know this! I will have a complete list of where students will go each afternoon, but I want to make sure your 2nd graders get to the correct place each day.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Please see our 2nd grade club schedule below!

Uniform Reminder
I am seeing a few uniform issues in our classroom. Please make sure you read through the uniform policy carefully to ensure your child is following the school dress code each day.
Please also make sure that on the day your child has P.E. that they are wearing school dress code SNEAKERS/TENNIS SHOES for P.E.
An Exciting Author Visit on Monday!
A grandmother of one of our 7th grade students, Reese M., Mary Mueller is a firm believer that if you teach a child to love reading, you will have given them wings to fly anywhere, to be anything, and to achieve great goals.
“What Do You Call An Ant?” will be one of three featured books in the children’s genre at the upcoming Decatur Book Festival (DBF), America’s largest independent book festival, held over Labor Day weekend, Sept 3rd and 4th in Decatur, Georgia. We will have both hard cover ($21.99) and soft cover ($12.99) copies available for sale and Mary will be available to sign them for you.

Home Visit Program
Home visits are a casual way for your child to spend time with his/her teacher in the comfort of their home. Teachers enjoy having a chance to see children in this comfortable environment, doing whatever makes them most happy and spend time with children and their parents outside of a regular school day.
Simply email junal@fultonscienceacademy.org with some suggested dates/times, as well as your students' name(s) and homeroom assignments. Ms. Unal will be in touch to confirm final details.
Please note: the best times to schedule a home visit are weekdays after 5:00pm.
