Spring Break is Just Around the Corner!

I am sure everyone is ready for spring time! Students and staff have adjusted to the recent time change this week. It is great to experience sunlight for a couple more hours when the school day is over. Next week we plan to review our procedures and expectations for severe weather and participate in a drill. We always want to be prepared for unexpected weather!

Spring Break will begin on March 25th and students will return to school on Monday, April 4th. I hope everyone has a safe and restful Spring Break.

The Lincoln PTA and Lincoln Elementary School welcome award-winning author Aaron Reynolds on Thursday, April 28th. Mr. Reynolds will talk with students during the school day about his career as an author. He will also be presenting at our family event that night! Please join us for an evening of fun with families and staff!

You can pre-order a personalized copy of any of Mr. Reynolds's books at a discount by returning the order form attached below. Please be sure to return the order form, along with payment, to Lincoln Elementary School by Monday, March 21. Hard copies of the form were sent home with children last week.

The half team of Whitmore Barrett and Isabella Myung finished 14th for K-1 and Marko Polovina was our sole player for grades 2-3.

Andrew finished 29th overall for grades 4-5 and earned a first place trophy for kids rated 700-899 for that grade section.

Lincoln Crosswalk

We are in need of a parent crossing guard at the Dawes Crosswalk for every other Tuesday afternoon. It's easy and takes about 20 minutes of your time. This would involve "shadowing" a volunteer once at the crosswalk and then, covering 6 shifts between now and the end of the school year. Please consider helping out as the weather should be warming up soon! If interested, please contact Julie Guerin at

Office Depot/Office Max Recycle

Congratulations! We have filled our 1st toner box and the 2nd box is over half full! The ink jet cartridge box is almost ready to be sent; we need just a few more. Keep bringing in those used ink jet or laser toner printer cartridges to the collection boxes located in the main entry way. In exchange, Office Depot/Office Max will give the PTA a gift card for free supplies! Join Lincoln & the PTA in being green while earning green.
