Student Council School Spirit DaysOur student council has planned some upcoming school spirit dress-up days. Students may participate if they wish. Thursday, November 29 - Animal Day - Dress up as your favorite animal, wear clothing with animals on it, or perhaps wear a headband with ears. Stuffed animals should not be brought in on this day Thursday, December 13 - Crazy Mismatch - Mix up your clothes and patterns or style some crazy hair. | Got Mittens? Our lost & found is once again full to the brim. This is only a small sample of what has been collected. We will be reminding students during the next few weeks to check for missing items. Please also help remind your child or stop by to check yourself, as any items still here at winter break will be donated. Thank you! | High 5 FridaysThe boys' and girls' Hersey hoops teams, along with AHPD School Resource Officer Hamrick, paid a visit this morning for another High 5 Friday. If you look real close and delete a few inches, you might be able to recognize a few former Olive Owls! According to Officer Hamrick, he has some other Hersey teams/clubs lined up to possibly join us on the following Fridays: 11/30, 12/7, & 12/14. |

Message From Officer Veenstra - Parking Regulations Along Olive Street
Hello Olive Parents,
I am writing this memo to make you aware that there have been several complaints regarding cars parking along the curb by Olive School on the south side of the street. There have also been reports of students exiting the driver’s side of the vehicle and stepping out into the street, instead of exiting on the curbside. This creates a very dangerous situation for the students and other drivers. The signs in the photo below are posted on both sides of Olive. There should be no parking, stopping, or standing from 8 AM- 4 PM.
In addition, anyone participating in the CAP Program should note that student drop-off and pick up is prohibited in the areas around these signs, and that includes before and after school hours or any time of the day. Please park in the main parking lot of the school if you’re in the CAP program
Please keep the kids safe.
Respectfully,
Officer Veenstra
