The Casualties Continue To Pile Up
Likely due in part to the waves of pro-war propaganda circulating around the country, young men continue to risk their lives in a daring war that will name them heroes of their country. However, they don't really understand what they're getting into as they enlist. It's not only the chance of a brutal death that they should be worried about. They should be worried about what horrors they may face.

Many young men are out there, "Dying for their country", but they fall pray to the hype far too easily.
Rats the size of cats
The poor souls in the trenches have to deal with a variety of horrors, such as an illness called "trench foot", which makes the feet swell in a disgusting way. The worst the trenches had to offer was the rats. They would feed on the corpses of fallen men, and they could grow larger than a house cat.

Sometimes, people might join the war for honor, or glory, or to "die a hero". Many times people received injuries that would make a life changing alteration to their being. Many of them wish they were dead.
