Amelia Earhart was famous for being the first woman to be courageous enough to attempt to fly along the equator, all the way around the world. She was very inspiring to tons of other pilots, who overcame their fears, and accomplished their goals. Amelia gave millions of Americans hope, and courage. Amelia Earhart was important to America because she proved that even though it was the Great Depression, she inspired America that if you follow your dreams, you really can reach the stars.
As Amelia became older, she become more dedicated to aviation. She was the first person to fly over the Atlantic ocean and the Pacific ocean in 1937.
As a young woman, Amelia loved to help people. She joined the red cross, and met a lot of pilots there. This started her passion for flying.
As a child, Amelia moved a lot, and had very few friends, but she was still always bubbly, happy, and fun.
