Introduction
In unit 2 I learned how to solve one-step equations which was the easiest and came in handy for the two and multi-step equations. Two-step equations were also very easy. You just have to remember to use your inverse operations. multi-step equations were the toughest. You have to remember to combined like terms and to distribute if needed. Overall unit 2 is learning how to solve different equations.
One, Two, Multi-step equations

Solving One-step equations
To solve a one-step equation the goal is to get the variable by itself. The first step is to do the inverse operation. You would add/subtract/multiply/divide according to the equation. You have to do the inverse operation both sides. The side with the variable cancels out leaving you with the variable on one side and a number on the other side. That is your answer.
Solving two-step equations
To solve a two-step equation is to get the variable by itself. Its basically like a one-step equation except with one more step. do the inverse operation, once you get the answer it turns into a one-step equation. Do the inverse operation again, which isolates the variable on one side and then solve. That will bring you to the answer.
Solving multi-step equation
To solve a multi-step equation you have to isolate the variable. (Distributing can be involved in a multi-step equation.) multiply the numbers or variable.Then bring down the rest of the equation. Combine like terms if you can, which brings you to a two-step equation. Do the inverse operation, leading you to a one-step equation. Then do the inverse operation again making the variable by itself.
Closure
Solving the one, two, and multi-step equations can be confusing. If you take your time and check your answer than less mistakes will occur. Overall these equations will come in handy in life.
