Game On!

If you have not had a chance to make a virtual conference appointment with your child's teacher, please email them as soon as possible. It is important that we check in with all parents, and we value your input and thoughts when it comes to education.

We are holding conferences tonight and tomorrow morning, but if you miss one of those, teachers are happy to schedule something that will work with your schedule.

A special thanks to Truman PTA for providing staff dinner during conferences! This is very appreciated when we have a long evening ahead! Eden Ware, former third grade teacher, made an appearance to set up the Mexican feast! It was great to see her! Shout out to Ted's Cafe Escondido as well, for donating a portion of the delicious food!

A note about this week's background...

Fall is my favorite season, for many reasons. This picture is of my twin daughters enjoying a pumpkin patch experience MANY years ago. Hope you and your family have the opportunity to make some special fall memories this year!

School is AWESOME!

I asked teachers to share some things going on in the building,
and here are some Truman happenings...

Mrs. Goodwin's Class Creates "Franken-Buddies" and Helps Truman Prepare for Red Ribbon Week!

Mr. Renteria's class had fun at the book fair!

Ms. Spruill's class presented book projects!

We are one week away from Jogathon 2020. We are excited and finishing up the final touches. Thank you for your patience, as we are in our first year using an online donation platform. You will find step by step instructions below to text/email your family a direct link for your student's donation page. REMEMBER, it is listed under their First Name and Last Initial. This is where you will find your student's total donations as well.

Your student will receive their Jogathon shirt on Wednesday. Please have them wear the shirt on Thursday and costumes (if desired) on Friday. If your child is running Friday and doesn't want to wear a costume, they are more than welcome to wear their JAT shirts that day instead. Each child will be provided a snack of goldfish and gatorade or water following their jogging times. Remember no families will be allowed to come to the schools to watch this year. Hopefully, we will be back to our normal all-school-jog next year with volunteers and visitors!

ALL virtual students, and those ExpandEd families who reached out to us to participate, can pick up JAT shirts this Sunday, October 25th from 4:30-5:30 at 912 Corbett Drive in Arbor Lake Neighborhood. Please contact us to arrange another time if that does not work with your schedule.

Below, you will find our JAT/RedRibbonWeek schedule. Also, note the prizes for each donation level achieved. If you signed up with the sign-up genius to bring gatorades, please have them at either school by Monday, the 26th. All of the links are provided below. Thank you in advance for making this an amazing experience for the students. It will be a fun day:)

Your student's teacher will be collecting pre-packaged party items and will provide more specifics about details. Costumes may be worn on Friday, October 30. Students must wear masks or approved facial coverings as well. Please make sure your child does not bring any type of weapon, play or otherwise, on school property, as this is prohibited. This will be a FUN WEEK with so many great activities at Truman!
