Reminders

  • Lesson Plans are due weekly by Monday morning.

  • Please be sure to hang your Pink Office Pocket out everyday!

  • Watch the clock, and make sure you on on duty at your scheduled time--arriving late for Playground pick up delays our Paraprofessionals schedules and lunches.

  • Attendance is important, especially with STAAR Testing coming up. We need you here to teach our students, and there are often limited substitutes available during testing. Illness and emergencies happen, but please try your best to be present.

Are you a Whole Teacher?

Check out this Blog Post on Whole Teaching! Especially after benchmarks, and at semester, there is a time for teachers to reflect...This post may help with your teaching reflections.

Whole Child Learning is a thing; Whole Teaching should be a thing too, no?

Here at TeachThought, Jackie Gerstein’s usergeneratededucation is at the top of our reading list, in large part for her thinking about the human side of formal education. Much of our content–that is, the content here at TeachThought, and that on her site–overlaps because of our shared perspective on teaching and learning: self-directed learning, the role of play in learning, the idea of citizenship, student-centered learning (and student-centered teaching), and more.

(The fact that we have to push ourselves to think of the “human side” could be part of our problem; teaching and learning are among the most human of processes–a natural response to our environment and curiosity.)...... Click Here to continue reading

I believe this helps me to grow professionally, and continually learn. I hope that the Inspirations Memo can provide you with ideas, information and resources you can use. I will aspire to be the Lead Learner for our Campus, and I hope you will join me in learning.
