Three-foot Tall Superheros
Every morning I watch three and four-year-olds perform the following, amazing athletic feat: They unstrap themselves from a car seat, slide to the car floor, lay on their stomach and turn backward so their feet hang out the door, and then, while grabbing a seat belt or seat mount, slowly slide backwards until gravity takes over and they drop off the side of the car to the pavement below. In an SUV, this drop can be a fairly far plop. If they happened to be holding on to their backpack while they slid off the car backward, nine times out of ten, the backpack lands of their head a millisecond after they land on the pavement.
Are preschoolers amazing or what?!?
We need your Input
Hello Mustang Families,
Here at the high school we're working very hard to make sure we provide students with a large variety of opportunities to be involved in as many active, healthy activities as possible. In order to do so, we need feedback about what you and your children might like to see offered now while they're still in elementary school, and later when they get to the Middle and High Schools. Can you fill out the brief survey by clicking on the link below?
Thank you very much!

Keep collecting!
Remember - money collected from Box Tops helps EVERY student continue to enjoy the many field trips our students take throughout the year!
This year, the money the school makes from Box Tops for Education will be put in a fund that will be used by all grades to help defray the cost of the many field trips our students are able to experience.
As we did last year, parents will pay for student field trips on an event-by-event basis. This fee will include any entry fees and a share of the $20/hour it costs our school to use the district buses for extra curricular activities.
Because of decreasing budgets, many schools have had to cut field trips. At Ute Pass, we want to continue to offer enrichment opportunities for every student. Please tell friends, neighbors, co-workers, and relatives to save their Box Tops for you. The more Box Tops we collect, the more savings we can pass on to parents!
