Raptor Report

We are Kind, We are Capable, We are Resilient, We Belong!

A Message from the Head Raptor

Happy Spring Riverview Families,

Here we are in the final quarter of school (so hard to believe). Soon we will begin the process of creating class lists for next school year. We spend a lot of time working to create lists that are balanced and that will create the best environment for all learners. Because of all that is involved in creating balanced classrooms (gender, personalities, students in need of support etc), we will not be able to take specific teacher requests. If you have information about the kind of environment that is best for your child, please reach out to share your input with us. You can email me or call me at: schroderush@mpsd.school or 920-663-9502.

This year we are saying goodbye to two of our kindergarten teachers. We wish Mr. Moore and Mrs. Shilts both a happy retirement! We thank them for all they have done for our Riverview Raptors. Next year we will be welcoming two experienced teachers to our building. Mr. Eric Holschbach will be joining Mrs. Bauer at Kindergarten and Mrs. Amanda Kane will be joining Mrs. Buboltz and Mrs. Bolle for first grade.

Spring Concert Info:

Due to limited space and having all grades perform in one afternoon, we will limit attendance to parents/guardians only for our Spring Concert this year. We are not able to organize tickets for families as we had previously planned, so we appreciate your cooperation with parent/guardian attendance only (younger siblings can accompany parent/guardians". We look forward to a return of both a Winter and Spring concert next year which allows enough space for additional family members.

We will be asking all visitors to clear the gym between performances so that we can be set up for the next concert. the multi-purpose room will be open for those parents that want to wait for a child in another grade to perform.

Special Spotlight: Art

Hi Riverview families! We have been busy in the art room these past couple months and have just finished up some pretty awesome projects! Fifth graders just finished a beautiful self-portrait inspired by Bisa Butler. Fourth graders just finished papier mache drawing utensils while third grade finished a beautiful Wayne Thiebaud inspired dessert painting. Second graders learned about emotions and pairing them with colors. First grades also created a self-portrait and kindergartners are working on a Pop Art unit! I've been having o much fun creating with your child and I can't wait to send home all their beautiful artwork soon! If you want a sneak peak of what your child is working on, you can always look at your child's Artsonia profile to see what we've been up to!

Escuela de Verano

Odds & Ends

April Showers bring.... wet muddy clothes. With the wet & unpredictable Spring weather please make sure your student has a spare set of clothes at school just in case they get wet or muddy at recess. It is a good idea to keep sending a jacket, hat and gloves.

If any families have girls pants they are able to donate, the kindness closet could use sizes 5-12. Underwear in the same sizes would also be helpful. Thank you in advance for your help!

If possible students should return their library books the day before they have their designated Library day.

  • Kindergarten/1st/5th have Library on Tuesday from 9:15-11:30
  • 2nd/3rd/4th have Library on Thursday from 9:15-11:30

If you have a student that attends Riverview that will be going to Washington Middle School next year, please contact Mrs. Schwartz in the office at 920-663-9504.
