St. Columba Catholic School - News every Friday - 8/27/21

St. Columba Families,

First FULL week of school for all of our students is officially in the books!

It was so great to have our Preschool and Pre-K students join our K-8 kids this week and have a full school again! Hats off to our our Preschool and Pre-K students for a phenomenal week. This was my 4th start of year for Preschool/Pre-K and this was the best one yet! Very few tears and a whole lot of fun! Shout out to our Preschool/Pre-K team for making it a great week! The Preschool/Pre-K Dine and Donate Kona Ice event was a great wrap up to a wonderful week for our youngest learners!

On the K-8 side of things, we got to get into all of our co-curricular classes this week! I had so much fun popping into PE, Art, Music, Performing Arts, and Technology classes and watching our students get to know their teachers and start engaging in fun new ways! Next week, our final co-curricular, Library, will start up and I know the students are looking forward to that!

I must say, our students have been LOVING the new field and playground! Nearly every kid has been playing on those new spaces since our ribbon cutting ceremony. Just so everyone knows, over Labor Day Weekend, we will be wrapping up our Asphalt project with a final seal and new lines being painted for Basketball, Volleyball, 4 Square, Hopscotch, and some special new additions!

Here is a look ahead at the upcoming events on campus:

  • Monday, August 30:
  • Tuesday, August 31: Happy Birthday, Ms. Charmaine; After School Choir Practice (3:15pm, 7th Grade)
