Truman Primary News
Welcome Back to School!
Tomorrow is the big day! Our staff has been working hard to prepare for your little ones to arrive and we wanted to remind you of a few safety procedures.
Traffic will be full and we understand the frustration you might have as you wait in line. Student safety is our top priority at arrival and dismissal times so we ask that you be patient, stay off your cell phones and be aware of the process. If you are interested in assisting with arrival or dismissal anytime, please contact the Truman Primary office.
- Truman Primary doors open at 7:25- upon their arrival students need to go to the gym or cafeteria where there is supervision until the bell rings at 7:40- students and families should wait in these areas each day and not go in the classroom hallways until then- breakfast will be served in the cafeteria beginning at 7:30-
Learning starts at 7:50
- The north and south doors are locked after 7:50 so if your child is arriving after 7:50 please enter the front doors and check in at the office
- NorthHaven PreK students may be dropped off starting at 7:40- Learning starts at 8:05 for our off site students
- Please review your traffic pattern maps you received at enrollment and Back to School Night to familiarize yourself with our traffic flow before and after school- on both the north and sounds sides it's... 1 lane in the morning, 2 lanes in the afternoon
- Front oval of the building is for bus and daycare drop off only or if your family has made special arrangements with administration
- Student dismissal signs are an expectation for the safety of your child. If in a car, please display so the staff outside can see student name and grade- if you choose to walk up to get your child, please wait behind the blocked off area so teachers can get the students settled and safe- it is difficult to keep the students supervised when parents are standing right at the door so we ask that you stand back until they are ready to be dismissed to you- again, dismissal signs are an expectation even if you are walking up to get your student
- We need to keep the traffic flowing each direction on Meadow Ridge Rd- please do not park and get out of your car on this street as it is difficult for cars and busses to go around you
- NorthHaven PreK dismissal is at 3:05
