They Came... They Played & Sang... They Saved the Music... AGAIN!

Congratulations to all of the students and staff who performed and attended the 2017 CBSD Save the Music Concert. The musical performances were incredible. The audience turnout was sold out. The money raised will help other school districts through the VH1 Save the Music Program... priceless!

Jazz Band Learns from a Pro

On Tuesday evening, State College composer and jazz performer, Rick Hirsch visited Tamanend to hold a clinic for Tamanend’s Jazz Band. Mr. Hirsch taught improvisational technique, soloing tips, and offered advice on how to perform with confidence on stage.

On Wednesday night, the Tamanend Jazz Band attended the Central Bucks District Jazz Festival at Holicong Middle School. They performed wonderfully and were noted by parents, staff, and administration for playing at a level far above their years. They were awarded for having a brass section who “laid it all out.” Kayla M. got a shout out for her “seriously funky drumming” in James Brown’s Cold Sweat. The trombone section was awarded a section award for their outstanding work; and individually, ninth graders Zac R. and Andrew B. were each presented individual solo awards for their work on bass guitar and tenor sax respectively.

The jazz band’s next performance will take place tonight at the Penndale Jazz Festival.

Tamanend Competition Cheer

Our Tamanend Tiger Cheerleaders have competed twice this season so far. They placed 2nd at the CB West Competition; and they placed 3rd at the CB East Competition. Their District Championship Competition is this afternoon at Tamanend. We wish them all the best!

Hot Cocoa for KAD

When we think of February, we often think of hot cocoa on cold winter days. When we think of February at Tamanend, we think of service to others through KAD. Good news... Starting February 6th and until KAD Day, Aramark will offer hot cocoa at lunches for 80 cents. When students buy a hot cocoa, Aramark will donate 10 cents to Tamanend's KAD efforts. Every little bit helps others through the KAD Memorial Fund!

Students, Aramark Wants Your Feedback!

We’re all ears!! The cafeteria is conducting an online Student Viewpoint survey. If you take the survey you will receive a cookie... AND, if at least 60 students participate you will have the chance to win a $50.00 Wawa gift card! Aramark wants to hear your voice so they can make the cafeteria the best it can be. The survey ends February 14th. Go to www.studentvp.com/CBSD. Thanks and let your voice be heard!

Free & Reduced Breakfast & Lunch Application

Families can access the online application for Free & Reduced Meals by clicking here. Applications may be submitted at any point in the school year. Students who qualify will still use their student id number to pay for breakfast and lunch.

Winter Weather Traffic

When the weather gets messy, we create our own traffic with an increase of students who become carriders. Please allow your student to ride the bus if they are a regular bus rider. A good compromise that won't cause school traffic and lateness to work and school is to drive your student to the bus stop.

Thank you for your cooperation.
