Science

Wednesday October 30th-unit test
Students need to study the weathering/erosion study guide for 10-15 minutes each night.
We will begin the Water Processes unit this week!
Science Exposition: Students need to continue to work on their science project. Several handouts to aid in the process were given out last week, including a rubric for each type of project ( scientific inquiry, invention, and environmental innovation).
Language Arts
This week in ELA, we'll learn about plagiarism and how to avoid it, we'll work on revising our argumentative essays (due Friday), and we'll spend some time with our class read aloud books. Parents, ask your child about the book we're sharing together, and about the book that he or she is reading independently. Students will have weekly responses to their independent reading, and those who are not doing their reading homework will start to see their grades going down. Students are to read thirty minutes every night from a self-selected literary book.
