From the Nurse's Desk
Welcome back to the 2023-24 school year! My name is Michelle Hardison and I am excited to be returning to WPS for my second year as your school nurse. I am looking forward to another great school year working with WPS staff, students, and parents.
A few reminders for the school year:
· NC State law requires that all Kindergarteners must have an updated Health Assessment and Immunization record on file in order to remain in school. Upon completion of 30 calendar days from the first day of attendance, your child will not be allowed to attend school until the required forms have been presented to the school. Please get those forms in ASAP!!
· Reminder to bring a new and updated medication form from your child’s physician for any medications, prescription or Over-the-Counter, that may need to be administered at school. All medications must be brought in their original container or pharmacy-labeled container, along with the medication form completed by both the physician and the parent or guardian.
· PLEASE have a current and working telephone number of a parent or guardian available in the school office in the event that your child needs your attention and we need to get a hold of you.
Keeping your children healthy while promoting a safe and healthy learning environment is important to all of us at WPS!
