Davenport's Weekly Update
Week of October 23, 2022
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.” Oprah Winfrey
As the month comes to a close, we welcome November. November is a month when we focus on all that we are Thankful for including family, friends, etc. I encourage you to think of all that you are thankful for, show gratitude, and when you can, pay it forward.
This week we have finalized our plans to receive parents and guardians to our Halloween Parade and Fall parties. We are THANKFUL to the Parents' Club, families, and staff for helping to organize the event, for providing treats, and for hosting the Welcome Back Bingo event for families to enjoy together. We're looking forward to more fun activities in the future!
Until next week,
Have a great weekend!

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
Spidey Senses
Afterwards, the class talked about the importance of showing kindness to others and also studied true facts about real spiders in Science class. The students wrote ways they can show kindness to others and created their own spiders for a craft project. Like Sophia, their teachers hope that their students have found a warm, comfortable and safe environment within their class family and will remember to always show kindness to others.
