SLS Enrichment classes
Enrich SLS Students!
The SLS enrichment classes are being formed for Mid-April. We would love for someone to bring a vehicle to the school parking lot and teach basic auto maintenance (tire pressure, check oil, etc.). Do you know someone who would love to teach our students? We are excited to offer a variety of classes this spring. If you know an auto expert please contact Jenny Schebler at rjschebler@aol.com or Carla Austin at carlaink@yahoo.com. Thank you!
Cafeteria News
If you have not put money in your child's account lately, now would be a good time to do so.

SLS vs St. Michael's 7th and 8th girls basketball
Last Thursday night the St. Louis Lady Cardinals hosted the St. Michael Trojans. Both the 7th and 8th grade lost but they were 2 good games.
The 7th grade Lady Cards had a final score of 20-24. Scoring for SLS were Megan Bauer with 17pts, Katie Nobbe with 2pts, and Megan Raab with 1pt. The girls did a great job running a press and offense to keep us in the game. Some fouls and things not in our control played into the last minute that we could pull out the win. Great game ladies keep it up!
The 8th grade had a final score of 15-36. Scoring for SLS were Emma Weberding with 6pts, Ava Allen with 5pts, and both Olivia Raab and Kate Voegele with 2pts each. We did a great job of running our offense we just couldn't the ball to go through the hoop in the end. Also some other factor out of our control made the game a little tricky. We played well. Keep up the good work ladies.

SLS Ladies Bball tourney
On Saturday St. Louis held their annual invitational. It was a long day for all four teams who attended, and some great ball was played. This year South Decatur, Milan, St. Bart, and St. Louis were the 4 teams contending for the trophy.
The 7th grade wasn't able to pull off a win Sat but had some really great games. Game 1 was against Milan and ended with a score of 18-28. Scoring were Megan Bauer with 13pts, and Ella Smith with 5pts. The girls all played hard and defensivly we had a good game. Game 2 was against South Decatur and it had an ending score of 21-39. Scoring for SLS were Ella Smith with 13pts, Teresa Wanstrath with 4pts, and both Megan Bauer and Katie Nobbe scoring 2pts each. Another great game played by both teams.
The 8th grade Lady Cards brought home the bling. They were able to play two solid games and get the two wins for the day. Game 1 was a score of 23-15 against the Milan Indians. Scoring for SLS were Emma Weberding with 9pts, Ava Allen with 7pts, Alyssa Wanstrath with 3pts, and both Olivia Raab and Lilly Wonnell scoring 2pts each. The second game was against South Decatur and ended with a score of 30-22. Scoring for SLS were Emma Weberding with 15pts, Olivia Raab with 9pts, Kate Voegele with 3pts, Ava Allen with 2pts, and Alyssa Wanstrath with 1pt. They worked hard the entire game and played with 6 girls this game and hustled the whole time. Nice job ladies you make me proud!

SLS Lady Cards vs EC
Monday night St. Louis hosted the Sunman Dearborn Lady Trojans. The 7th grade fought back many times but couldn't get the win and the 8th grade Lady Cards were able to take the W for their last home game as a Cardinal.
The 7th grade game ended with a score of 20-34. We rallied back within 6pts several times but just couldn't get as many shots to fall. Scoring for SLS were Megan Bauer with 8pts, Ella Smith with 6pts, and both Teresa Wanstrath and Katie Nobbe had 2pts. We played a great game of ball.
The 8th grade Lady Cards won their 8th grade night game. They had a final score of 29-16. We held a close first half going in with a 1pt lead and coming out strong the second half and taking the lead a bit more. This has been the first game since the start of the year with all 8 of my 8th graders. Scoring for SLS were Emma Weberding with 9pts, Alyssa Wanstrath, Kate Voegele, and Chelsea Robertson with 4pts each, Ava Allen with 3pts, Lilly Wonnell with 2pts, and Faith Tekulve with 1pt. Way to finish your home court season off with a win.
