A Message from the Principal...
Dear friends,
The quad is nearly complete and we expect to open it back up next week. Progress on the master schedule is slow going, as we are waiting staffing news out of the District Special Education Department. For those of you who don't know the process, it is essential that our Special Education sections are placed into the schedule first. We expect to have the answers we need to move forward this issue this week. Also, with the transfer process still underway, we stand to lose existing staff to other school sites. When those changes occur, it is important that we carefully consider how we would like to allocate staff. As much as I understand your desire to know exactly what you will be teaching next year sooner rather than later, it is my sincere hope that you will understand the master schedule team is doing the best it can given the constraints we face.
On the hiring front, we expect to make offers of employment to a Language Arts and Special Education teacher this week. Other jobs will be posted for transfer as we continue to identify our needs.
Thank you for your continued patience.

One Book, One Twin Peaks: Legend by Marie Lu
What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.
From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths—until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets (Good Reads).
