Trip Expectations: Respect and Trust
When we take students away from campus there is added emphasis on safety. It is a privilege to be at Joshua Tree National Park and this group is so lucky to be able to spend time at this incredibly special place. We are guests and are there to learn, enjoy, and preserve this environment.
- Be there at every activity on time.
- Be where you are expected to be. We do not want to be looking for you. The desert is vast.
- You are never allowed to go anywhere by yourself, including the bathroom. Always take a buddy with you and inform your chaperone. This is the rule 24/7 - these rules apply at night as well.
- SAFETY: Follow all of the procedures and directions for every activity and during free time.
- We will be doing so many really cool adventurous activities.
- Support and help one another. Be kind.
- Quiet time: a few minutes of whispering and then quiet!
