Mrs. Bearden's Weekly Update
March 8, 2021
Dear Eagle Canyon Families,
Last week schools across Chino Valley welcomed students in grades TK-2 back in smaller cohorts for In-Person instruction. It was so exciting to have students in our classrooms!
This week, all grade levels at Eagle Canyon will return for In-Person instruction. To review the cohort schedules, please click on the Eagle Canyon Bell Schedule below. Please review your child's Demographic Page on the Aeries Parent Portal to review your child's Cohort.
To ensure to maintain safe distances and limit the number of people on campus, all parents in Grades 1 - 6 will need to either drop their children off at either the Pedestrian Gate or the Bus Gate if they are walkers, or drive-in and drop off their children at the Cabanas. Only KINDERGARTEN and SDC parents may park and walk their children to the gate.

ELPAC TESTING
Our English Language Learners (ELL) will continue their English Language Proficiency Assessment for California (ELPAC). This assessment assesses a student's progress for their English language development over the year. Dr. Titus and a team of teachers will continue to conduct testing.
SAFETY REMINDER
Masks and physical distancing are a requirement when on any Chino Valley Unified campus. Thank you for your support!
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs. Bearden

ATTENDANCE
Families are beginning to receive letters regarding their child's attendance. Please understand, teachers are required to document their students' engagement during live instruction. Students are required to remain present in their virtual class during live instruction. When students turn their cameras off and do not respond when called on to participate in a class discussion, they are considered absent.
Please help us by talking with your children about the importance of being engaged in daily instruction and learning activities. Also talk to them about only opening tabs their teachers ask them to open. It is very easy for students to open video games in other tabs, but look like they are engaged in live instruction. We need to work together to prevent learning loss during Distance Learning. It will take everyone working together to help our students succeed. Thank you for your help!

A popular fundraising opportunity all families can support is Box Tops. Download the Box Top app on your phone. All you have to do is scan your receipts on the Box Top app within 14 days of the purchase. The app will let you know if any of the items purchased qualify. If so, we earn 10 cents per product.
As of today, our school has earned $94.10 this year. Our goal is to earn $1,000.00. If you also get the coupons, please turn them in to the school office. Thank you in advance for your support!
