Counting My Blessings
Regina Wesley is a faithful member of One Church. She was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma of the spleen. She has gone through several rounds of treatment and is now cancer free. We praise God for Regina because she is a wonderful, needed, and appreciated member of One Church. Thanks Regina, for all you do for us!

November Prayer Focus
Prayer of Thanksgiving to the Father for the example set by Jesus who lived his life sinlessly, in total accord with reality, with no falseness, no self-deception, no dark secrets, nothing to regret, nothing to be ashamed of...that he proclaimed the truth, the one utterly reliable foundation for our thinking and living. Thank you that he delighted to do your will...that he withdrew for time
alone in your presence…that he was attentive to your voice and sensitive to your working that he lived in complete dependence on you, so that you in him spoke those gracious and life-giving words and performed those mighty works. Thank you that he demonstrated how I am to live and serve, completely depending on him as my indwelling Lord, focusing on his life as he walked on earth, and beholding his glory “the glory of the one and only” who came from you full of grace and truth. What a delight to know that as I focus on him, you transform me into his image by your spirit within me. You work in me that which is pleasing in your eyes. You strengthen my heart in every good work and every good word, so that more and more I honor Christ by the way I live.
It Starts with a Holy for Which Was
Sr. Pastor Ron Godbolt taught a powerful lesson entitled, "It Starts With A Holy For Which Was." His scripture references were Revelation 4:8 and Numbers 33:10.
He spoke about "Holy" and gave the three instances that we can apply to our daily lives:
* Which was…Past
* Which Is…Now
*Which Is to come

Packing Party
It's that time of year when we come together to prepare Thanksgiving boxes for families in need. Please join us on Wednesday, November 15th for the packing party. Here are some suggested items you can donate: dressing (stove top), green beans, yams in the can or fresh, sweet potatoes, rice and gravy, a turkey or hen, cranberry sauce, Desserts in the box (brownies or cake), Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, tea, or lemonade (in the box or can), sugar (white or brown), cinnamon.
