MESSAGE FROM THE GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
As we enter into another new month, our Guidance lessons will be taking a turn toward Feelings. All of the grade levels will be delving into some area of feelings. In Kindergarten they will begin naming and recognizing different feelings and as the grades increase to third grade, the students focus more on how to identify another person's feelings and why this is so essential. Whether we are discussing our own feelings or another person's feelings, there are three key components that help a person determine the feeling. These three include: looking at the person's face, looking at their body, and understanding the situation. These three components can help us determine our own feelings as well as recognize another person's feelings, allowing us to either calm ourselves down or help one another.
