Head of School
- I will update everyone on our relief efforts from outside of our school early next week.
- Please make sure that you respond to the teacher pulse survey by the COB today, September 2, 2016. The survey was sent out on Monday, August 29th. We really need your feedback.
- The turnout for our blended orientation in Baton Rouge was low. We will be using more timely and targeted communication to encourage students to attend the blended site.
- Please send all email communication to me at pdaniel@k12.com. With the transition to Office365, I am not confident that I will respond in a timely manner from my pdaniel@lavirtual.org account. I did not have access to my lavirtual email account for two weeks.
Please take some time to celebrate family and friends during the long weekend. Rest and relaxation is the key to rejuvenation.

TVS Note Taking Reminders
- Did you use the Notes template when needed? (Remember the Notes template is the actually template in TVS Notes. You may not use the contents that the note provides but be sure to use the templates when needed: Welcome Calls, ILP Notes, STI Interventions, STI Missed Interventions, etc.)
- Type of Note: Be sure to indicate if the note is a Note, Phone Log, or Meeting Log. We refer to all phone logs and meeting logs when reviewing your notes for communications.
- The Title: Remember to always start the Note title with one of these abbreviations then give a brief title. Some Examples: MC_Welcome Call, LM_Progress Concern, MC_September Rotation Call (Only using rotation call as your topic if you didn’t have an actual concern to discuss in the call.)
a. MC – Made Contact
b. LM – Left Message
c. NA – No Answer or unable to leave a message
- Contents: Be sure to give enough information in your note contents that if we go in looking for information on the student we can read your note and understand what the concern was. For progress concerns be specific. Ex: Jimmy is current 5% behind in GUM and 6% behind in Math. This is the third week Jimmy is behind in those subjects. Etc.
Here’s an excellent QRG on Ideas for your Call Notes and tracking the calls you have made.
