Who Is Eligible To Vote?
For you to be eligible to vote In North Carolina you have to follow three simple rules. One, be a citizen of the united states. Two, be a North Carolina resident. And three, you have to be 18 years old by the date of the next general election.
How Do You Register To Vote?
In North Carolina you can register to vote by mail, In person, by email, or by fax. Then within two weeks, your registration card will be mailed to you.
How To Register If You Are Out-Of-State, In The Military Or Overseas?
if you happen to be out of the state that you normally live in during election day, you can register to vote by e-mail, or fax it from your location. If you are in the military or overseas during the election you can still register to vote by using The Federal Postcard Application, or The Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot. You still have to physically sign it and send it in by 5 p.m. on the day before the election.
When Is The Registration Deadline?
The registration deadline for voting in North Carolina is due at 5 p.m. the day before the election.
Election day
Election day is the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November. This day usually falls between November 2nd to the 8th.
Identification
Now 17 states require photo ID for voting, while 15 other states require another form of identification.
Voting
Some places now have all electronic ballots to avoid confusion, but still some places use the old ballot.
