Message Fom Mr. Majeski

Good morning, families!

As a reminder, this year’s Halloween celebration will take place on Friday, October 30th. All students should wear their costumes to school (if participating). Students and staff will parade around the Komensky community, starting at 1:30 with classroom activities to follow.

Each classroom will have activities planned in their room immediately following the parade to celebrate this traditional holiday. Our goal is to have a safe and fun Halloween. In order to ensure everyone’s safety we are not allowing any costume with a violent theme. Children will not be allowed to wear costumes that are violent or gory in nature. This includes fake blood and look-alike weapons. Additionally, masks are not allowed.

Students and staff members whose personal convictions prohibit them from participating in a holiday program will be excused from afternoon classroom activities. Students will be involved in an alternate activity during this time.

This year, as in year’s past, Komensky School will have a food-free Halloween celebration. With food allergies, diabetes, and obesity on the rise, not to mention food borne illnesses, it’s the safest and healthiest thing for all of our children. We are asking you that you do not send any type of edible treats to school. If your child should bring any edible items, they will be returned.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office or contact your child’s teacher.

Sincerely,

Jeremy J. Majeski

Además, no vamos permitir mascaras.

Sinceramente,

Jeremy J. Majeski

Director
