VIVA Science San Antonio!
UT Health San Antonio’s Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences will be hosting Viva Science SA (formerly called Science Fiesta) on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at The Witte Museum. Designed to foster engagement between scientists and the general public of all ages by showcasing the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Viva Science SA is a free and family-friendly event that features a distinguished speaker, interactive science booths, a science fair with posters by local scientists, science-themed artwork, food trucks and much more.
We are requesting you to inform your students about this opportunity to present their science at this venue; they also have a chance to win awards! Here is the link to register for the poster session. Registration (and attendance to the event) is free; the organizers are willing to cover the cost of printing the poster if necessary. The deadline to register for presenting posters is March 15th. The call for abstracts flyer is attached.
We hope that you would be willing to help us bring together all San Antonians around the joys of science. Please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Marcus Webster (websterm@uthscsa.edu) if you have any questions. We look forward to your support!

PARKING UPDATES
Got Sneakers?
"The HCHS National Honor Society is collecting new and used sneakers to be reused or recycled through the Got Sneakers sneaker recycling organization. The sneaker drive fundraiser aims to keep sneakers out of landfills and reduce the need for manufacturing new sneakers. All sneakers from the program are recirculated to people who want quality, reusable footwear at affordable prices or repurposed into new surfaces such as playgrounds and tracks. Please drop off new or used sneaker donations (no non-athletic shoes or singles/mis-mates) to the marked boxes in the foyer between February 1st to March 11th. Thank you for making a difference!"
