Counselor's Corner

Social skills can begin with something as simple as saying “Hi” or sharing a smile. Yet many children will walk by their friends or other adults and barely look up or acknowledge someone saying “good morning”. Ask your child to count how many people they can say “Hi” to and how it feels to have someone smile and wave to them. A simple greeting is an easy way to turn around a sad feeling. For more tips to infuse social skills in your child’s life, contact Ms. Shaw, School Counselor at LShaw@methacton.org.
