Grit & Determination (3/2/20 - 3/6/20)
Monday March 2nd
Tell students that we will be discussing grit this month. Part of this discussion needs to include knowing what's important to us. What's worth trying for again and again for each of them?
Discussion Question:
What is a long term goal that you have that is worth working hard on?

Discussion Question: (3rd - 5th) Why was Abraham Lincoln's grit so important for our country?
Discussion Question: (Kinder - 2nd) How did Abraham Lincoln, our 16th President of the United States, teach us that we should have grit and not give up?
Thursday March 5th
Determination
Discussion Questions:
1. Why would it have been easier to give up?
2. Even though he's the last one finished, why should he be proud of finishing this race?
Friday March 6th
Group size: Minimum 10
What it is: The facilitator calls out categories ,and participants have to arrange themselves according to that category.
Why it’s great for kids: This is a fun and easy way to kids to get to know each other better and it helps to encourage good communication.
