Starting the 2022-2023 School Year off Andover Together!
Important Calendar Dates
You can also view a District Calendar here.
New Monday Advisory/CT Schedule
The school district approved a new model for teacher collaboration time for the 2022-2023 school year. Instead of an early release for students on Thursday afternoons, students will have a late start on Monday mornings with classes starting at 8:30 AM. Transportation will continue to run at its normal time in the morning. There will be space available in our cafeteria for breakfast or the IMC for those students who choose to come early to school and do school work.
The weekly Monday morning Advisory/CT schedule will begin on this coming Monday, September 19th. The following are days in which we will not have CT during Trimester 1:
- October 10th - Practice ACT for Juniors
- November 21st - Short week due to Thanksgiving Break
- November 28th - Last Monday of the Trimester

Attendance Expectations for the School Year
Students are expected to be in school, in attendance for all 5 periods every day unless a parent/guardian submits an approved absence. This includes our closed campus for lunches. Distance learning is no longer an option for when a student is unable to attend school.
Absences/Early Dismissals
Parents/guardians are encouraged to submit absences or early dismissals online in A-HConnect or in the ParentVUE mobile application. Refer to these step-by-step directions for more information. Absences and early dismissals can also be reported to our 24-hour Attendance Line at 763-506-8406.
Andover High School uses an automated calling system called Intouch to notify parents/guardians of their student's absence(s). If we do not receive prior notification from a parent/guardian about an absence, our automated calling system will contact you for more information.
Practice ACT for 11th Graders
On Monday, October 10th, all 11th grade students will take the Practice ACT at Andover High School. The Practice ACT is given to allow students the opportunity to experience what it feels like to take the test. We structure the test administration using the ACT guidelines for national testing including checking in procedures, test timing and administration protocol.
Junior students should bring:
- Two #2 pencils
- Calculator
All students in grades 9, 10, and 12 will participate in blended learning activities. Watch your student email for more details regarding transportation, lunches and room assignments the week before the test date.
High School Football Attendance Expectations
Our goal is to provide a fun, safe and engaging opportunity for all students and families to support our high school athletes as they perform in football, band, dance and cheer. The following expectations are in place to ensure that all who attend experience a safe, welcoming, and positive environment. Click here to read more.
This Friday, September 16th is the football home opener vs. Rogers. Friday night will be Youth Night along with our Tackle Cancer game. Looking to go to the game? You can purchase tickets ahead of time here.
A Note from our Child Nutrition Supervisor
With changes in USDA funding this year, we will continue to feed our students a full breakfast and lunch regardless of their account balance. There are many different meal options available, however, a fruit or veggie selection must be included with the student’s choice of entrée to be considered a full meal. A la carte items such as drinks, snacks, and extra entrées can only be purchased if the student has enough funds in their account to support their purchase.
Andover High School Parking Lot Procedures
The parking lot at Andover High School can be a challenge for young and old drivers alike but, if we all follow a few simple rules, students can have a safe and enjoyable commute to and from school as well as keep their vehicles safe while in the parking lot. Please click here to take note of some items and share them with your student(s).

They also provide such services as academic and career counseling, college planning, personal and social counseling, individual planning and guidance, letters of recommendation and more. If you have questions or would like to meet with your counselor, please stop into the counseling office, located on the first floor next to the IMC. You can also connect with your Counselor here.
