Kid's Heart Challenge is Thursday
Hello parents and guardians!
I am so excited for this year’s Kids Heart Challenge! I will be running a school wide fun event of jump roping and other activities on February 29, Leap Day, to celebrate our school’s success! During physical education class this week I will be talking to your student about the American Heart Association, the great work they do to help children with sick hearts and how we can help by gathering donations during the month of February! Our students in return will get some neat thank you gifts!
One of our goals is to get 50% of our school to register online through the website listed below. If we can reach this goal, US Games will donate $500 to our school to put towards new programs and gym equipment for our students!
Our school’s American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge has begun today, January 31, 2024! We are asking you to register for our Kids Heart Challenge team and help us reach our goal of 100% of our families learning the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR. Last year, 5-year-old Phil and his mother, Megan, saved a life because they watched the Hands-Only CPR video (part of Finn’s Mission).
Get started today and be the first at our school to complete Finn’s Mission!
Register: www.heart.org/schools or just click our schools link here: https://www2.heart.org/site/TRR/YMKidsHeartChallenge2024/FDA-FoundersAffiliate/137016178?pg=utype&fr_id=9739
· or you can download the free ‘AHA Schools’ app.
· Complete Finn’s Mission: Watch the 2-minute Hands-Only CPR video featuring cardiac arrest survivor, Damar Hamlin, and watch a music video on the warning signs of a stroke (F.A.S.T.).
· Share with Family & Friends: Send messages via social media, text messages and/or email.
I can’t wait to see our school create a community of lifesavers this year!
Thank you for your support,

Winter Recess Fun!
Yes! I want to build a snowman. Third grade students made snowmen during their recess. Kids love snow!
