A Message from the Principal of AOC, Dr. Fine
Welcome Back to School, AOC!
Greetings AOC Families,
Welcome back to school! We are so excited to see you this Tuesday, August 10th for the first day of school on the COC Valencia Campus. We are thrilled to make this the best year ever! By having our community back together, I know it will be outstanding. We are always better together!
We know that our students may be feeling excited and nervous about the first day. Please reassure them that AOC is here to support them. All summer long, teachers, staff and students have prepared fun and meaningful activities for the return to school. This is to ensure students are equipped with the knowledge that they need to be successful.
Our Associated Student Body (ASB) received two days of leadership training to help our entire school become united. There are many nuances of AOC culture that our students will need to learn and relearn. Being a student at the college and high school is a unique experience and ASB will provide many tips and tricks during the student tours to help our new students including both freshman and sophomore navigate their new campus. We're working all together to support our students in this transition.
Our new staff has spent time with our veterans to become acculturated in the AOC way. They were provided two intensive days of professional development and training to help them become integrated into AOC culture and project-based-learning. It is clear that they are wonderful additions to our faculty!
We are looking forward to seeing our students! Please reach out to us if you have any questions at all.
See you on Tuesday!
Sincerely,
Dr. Juliet Fine

Covid-19 All Visitors on Campus
Our goal is to safely welcome students back to campus on August 10 in the most efficient fashion. This is what to expect the first week of school.
- The CrisisGO screening survey will be sent to parent’s email address as usual starting August 10.
- Signs will be posted at all student and school entry points declaring that those with symptoms – and those potentially exposed – should not come onto campus.
- Staff will conduct a “mask check” upon entry. Students without masks will be provided masks at the gate.
Scanning of student ID cards will begin the 2nd week of school (August 16).
With the 2021-22 school year, starting on August 16th, all students & all visitors are required to complete the district's "Crisis Go" iPass check-in whenever entering campus. Please show your green iPass clearance when asked by a staff member. If you do not have a cell phone or are unable to do the digital check-in, please stop by the office for a temperature check and be prepared to answer the standard covid questions. If you are feeling unwell, please do not plan to come on campus. Any individual with a temperature of 100.4 or above will be asked to leave immediately. Upon clearing the health screening, you will be required to wear a mask at all times while indoors on campus.
