College Preview Day at LCU - Nov. 11
Lubbock Christian University is having a college preview day. This Chap Day will be Monday, November 11th. Juniors and Seniors may sign up to experience LCU campus life!

Battle of the Bands - Nov. 12
4ORE Golf is hosting a Battle of the Bands between Lubbock-Cooper, Frenship, and Coronado! This seven-night contest will run November 10-16. All week long, visit 4ORE in your LCP gear or school colors and mention the Pirate Pride Band, and 10% of the sales will be donated back to our band program! The band with the most guests by the end of the week will receive free gaming for the ENTIRE BAND and a special award from 4ORE! Lubbock-Cooper's very own band night is 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12 ($15/hr tee boxes and $5 one-topping pizzas).
Spanish Club to Honor Shooting Survivor - Nov. 15th
The Spanish Club will be honoring Anderson Davis (shooting survivor from the Odessa Mass Shooting), and her twin brother Rhett Davis on November 15, 2019 at 3:30pm. Students in the Spanish Club raised $507.00 for Anderson and Rhett's family. The Davis Family will be attending the Spanish Club's presentation and reception following to show their appreciation to these LCHS students and the Lubbock-Cooper Police Department.
LCHS Forensics T-Shirts Order Deadline - Nov. 22
For the second year in a row, LCHS Forensics classes are selling t-shirts to benefit the Innocence Project of Texas. This is an organization that seeks to exonerate wrongfully convicted individuals and deliver justice to families of crime victims through the use of scientific truths and forensic science, including DNA testing (a concept studied by our own Forensics students). Short sleeved shirts are $15 and Long sleeved shirts are $18 each. The fundraiser begins November 1st and the deadline to order/make payment is Friday, November 22. Stop by LCHS Room 201 or email Sarah Shutic (sshutic@lcisd.net) for more information or to order. All proceeds will benefit the Innocence Project of Texas.
CTE Spotlight - Mobile App Development
Ms. Staffen teaches Mobile App Development. This class fosters student creativity and innovation by presenting students with opportunities to design, implement, and deliver meaningful projects using mobile computing devices. Students will identify task requirements, plan search strategies, and use software development concepts to access, analyze, and evaluate information needed to program mobile devices. Students will gain an understanding of the principles of mobile application development through study of development platforms, programming languages, and software design standards.
