Ah- So-Ko Game by Michael
In gym class with Mr. O'Neill we are participating in “Project Adventure” also known Team Building. This class meets in the auditorium on the stage. We learned a new game AH,SO,KO. This is an “ice breaker game”.We sit in a circle the person starting says AH with his hand on his head, the person opposite his elbow says SO with hand under his chin , and that person next to him says with his hands extended out together KO pointing to a person across the circle. Then that person starts. You are out when you do the wrong pose/gesture. There are three people left at the end of the game. This game teaches us to listen carefully and accept when you get out of the game. Team building games we play are Group Juggling and Wrist Toss . We always look forward to Mr. O’Neill’s class.
Panda Research Comes to an End! by Zi Rui
This week, the panda research comes an end. Everyone had a topic and they all did a lot of research about it. A few weeks ago we only knew they are cute fluffy animals eating bamboo. Now, we know what they do and know how to protect them. We will miss these cute pandas and we will miss Mei Xiang and Bei Bei. We will always remember them and their cuteness. I hope we can check in on them sometimes!:)
Look for our paper next week!
Science Experiments this Week by Gage
In science class, I did my science water experiment with my group. The first thing that we did was the water drops on the penny, (which tells us that water has the property of cohesion). the second thing that we did was paper clips in a cup of water to see if it would float. That means that the water has surface tension. The third thing that we did was that we put our fingers on a straw in a cup of water, because that tells us it has the property of adhesion.
