Staff Member of the Month

Congratulations to Anne Whitten for being selected as our September Staff Member of the Month!

Here are some comments staff members had to say about Anne:

"Anne Whitten should be the staff member of the month because she supports all of the special ed teachers and students. She is dedicated to keep trying new things with our students until she finds what works for them. Her patience for students with special needs is admirable."

"Very supportive of both students and staff; always lends a helping hand, whatever the task may be; excellent ideas and problem-solving solutions for more challenging students."

"Never seen anyone so calm in any circumstance, and with a good sense of humor, too!"

This is the 3rd year I have worked with Anne and she consistently cares for and teaches the students in the SPED self contained area with professionalism and grace. She supports all the other teachers and assistants in our area - always willing to explain how to do the endless SPED paperwork or brainstorm ways to help a struggling student. Our students make progress, but it is slow and often in very small steps. Some days it is hard to tell if what we do makes a difference. Anne pushes through those days and encourages all of us to do the same."

"Anne takes everything that happens in stride. She goes WAY above and beyond her duties to make sure that students are taken care of. She is always willing to help out, be a mentor, and take leadership. And always does everything with a smile and a laugh."

Congratulations, Anne! We appreciate you for outstanding teaching and the positive role model you set for us every day.
