Welcome to Forest Vista Elementary
Reading is our Homework
Our district uses a program called iStation which is used in conjunction with our reading program and will serve as reading support and assessment. Click on the link below and it will take you to the iStation webpage to tell you more about this awesome program.
Storyline Online is another great resource for an occasional night when your family calendar is full and you need to complete your reading homework. :) :)
This summer, I learned about this new program called Teach Your Monster to Read. It has some fun games that help support our readers and is absolutely free. Click on the link below to learn more.
Another resource that's totally free (and for the whole family) is Overdrive. Below is the link for that as well. There is also an app called EPIC that is a great app to have on your phone or device for stories you can take anywhere. (also FREE). www.getepic.com
Great readers are made on the lap of parents. . .so remember to read every night, sign your child's folder, and turn R.E.D. folders in on Fridays. Thanks and happy reading!
