Maggie Fitzpatrick
In this week's Panther Applause, we would like to recognize Maggie Fitzpatrick. Ms. FItzpatrick is in the World Languages Department and teaches Spanish.
"Maggie has so much positive energy! Whether she is playing music in the hallway (and dancing) or story-telling in her classroom, her energy is infectious. She has the best laugh at CHHS. Maggie is helpful to other teachers and builds great relationships with students - even those who aren't hers."

Panther volleyball
The JV started their match off strong before the hawks rallied back in the 1st set. The JV eventually held on to win the 1st set 25-23. In the second set Birdville evened the match winning 17-25. The Panthers came out strong in the 3rd set eventually claiming victory 25-17. The JV was lead by a strong performance in the middle by Jori Wallace.
The varsity got off to a slow start in their match Tuesday losing the first set 16-25. The varsity was able to weather the storm and pull the match even in the 2nd set with a 25-18 win. The Panthers would ride this wave of momentum to a 4 set victory behind some incredible defensive effort and efficient hitting.
Grace Koper turned in a double-double from the setter position handing out 41 assists and picking up 16 digs. Jillian Dits lead the team defensively with some all out hustle plays ending the night with a team high 23 digs. Morgan Sundell also picked up 14 digs. Jill Dickens lead the way offensively with 18 kills. Ashley McKillop and Avery Cimperman each added 9 kills. Sydney Sanchez turned in a stand out performance from the middle position as well.
Friday, the Panther volleyball teams hosted Azle. The varsity started the night with a commanding victory 25-15, 25-9, 25-7.The Panthers were lead offensively by Brynna McKiernan who lead the team with 11 kills. Avery Cimperman picked up her 1st career double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs. Mary Irion added 6 kills. Nyah Ellis lead the charge defensively with 17 digs. Grace Koper dished out 26 assists and added 4 kills and 4 aces.
The JV also swept Azle 25-17, 25-20. The Freshman lost a hard fought 3 set match.
The freshman traveled to the Keller Central tournament over the weekend. They started the day off picking wins against against Richland and Keller Timber Creek. This would put them in semi-finals where they would eventually fall to Keller in 3 sets claiming 3rd place. The team was lead by strong performances by Emily Sugg, Riley Kirkman, Daniella Rodriquez, and Elizabeth Foster.
