LVES...All We Want For Christmas is COOKIES!
Thank you to our wonderful Lago Vista ISD Education Foundation for organizing cookies for our staff!
The last day of school in 2020 is THURSDAY December 17th - Let’s show our school staff how much we appreciate all they have done for our students by sending them home for the holidays with a Christmas treat.
This year we will need 50 sets of STORE BOUGHT cookies, candies, fudges, popcorn sets or other yummies to send each teacher/staff member home with some Holiday Happiness. We ask that each set have at least 2 dozen treats for maximum enjoyment.
Please help show your gratitude by bringing your box, bag, can or basket of SCRUMDIDALIUMPTIOUS goodies to the table in the front vestibule of the elementary school by THURSDAY MORNING, December 17th.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Classroom Changes For The Third Nine Weeks
Emails will be sent on Monday, December 14th to families of any student who will be changing classroom assignments on January 6th. If you do not receive an email, then your child's teacher will remain the same.
Thank you so much for you understanding as we make adjustments for the upcoming grading period.

Hello LVES Families!
This month students are learning about different holidays and traditions that are celebrated this season. Some have asked why they need to learn about something they do not celebrate. When teachers teach about holidays from a variety of cultures and beliefs, they are helping children to develop empathy and understanding for other people and ideas. Most holiday celebrations in every culture are based on teaching traditions, history, and the reason that a group of people cares about each other. When we teach children about holidays of other cultures, we are helping them see that no matter what differences we all have, we also have many things in common, such as family, respect, and love. Learning about holiday celebrations that are celebrated by other students at their school helps children develop an appreciation and understanding of what is important to their peers. Teaching children to value the cultural traditions of other people is an important part of raising a child with healthy emotions and social connections. Ask your child what they are interested in learning about, and learn together!
