Hello Bushnell Families~
Picture day was stupendous! The children looked great with their smiling (some toothless
!) faces! Information about ordering is below.
This week we had our first set of interested parents meet for an initial PTO organization meeting. We also discussed events that we are excited to support together including book fairs, secret Santa shops, conference meals, teacher appreciation week, carnival and much more! We began our meeting with Superintendent Fowler sharing information about the upcoming Non-Homestead Restoration Millage that will be up for vote this November. This millage, which represent $3.7 million of our general budget, is used for staff salaries, transportation and other areas of needs in our general fund. There will be more information shared through our Lowell Area Schools Facebook page if you have more questions about this topic.
Did you know that our building is looking for parent volunteers? In order to volunteer at school there is a district clearance form as well as a volunteer code of conduct form to sign. We can always use extra hands for classroom projects, special activities, reading with students and other teacher requests. We could also use volunteers in our media center! Please stop in the office for the forms if you wish to take advantage of these opportunities. Keep in mind that it takes about a week to return the district clearance required in order to start helping out!
Much of our fall assessment period is complete. This means that each of our students have been thoroughly assessed in both reading and math skills to determine their current knowledge. We use this information to identify students with specific skill areas of need in order to create intervention groups. If your child will be included in an intervention, you will receive more information through your email. If you have any questions at all, please either reach out to your child's teacher or myself and we will be happy to help!
We are excited to offer a way to give back to BUSHNELL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! On 9/20/2022 we will be kicking off an event to help raise funds that will benefit all of our students and staff. Our Step It UP! program, will help with funding classroom supplies, great learning tools, awesome field trip experiences, PBIS Celebrations, and new playground equipment.
It is going to be AWESOME; we are excited to get started!
A few things to note:
~This program will be very easy for you. It only requires about 10 minutes of your time.
~Your students can earn great rewards, just for their effort. No money required!
~This is an online, donation-based fundraiser, and the email and text message donation requests can go to people you know anywhere in the world. That means no direct pressure on your shoulders.
Students will be bringing home more information on 9/20 after our Launch Party presentation. Please help your student register and complete the Golden Ticket assignment THAT VERY NIGHT! All students who complete the Golden Ticket assignment will receive fun PRIZES and it does not require any money to register. We will also have some fun drawings for a $250 Amazon Gift Card and four Mini Party Fridges stuffed with CASH!

This is a link to take advantage of our special Prepaid Package pricing (BEST VALUE). Please submit your order on or before your child's scheduled picture day. All orders will be processed and the picture packages will be delivered back to the school about 3 weeks after picture day. If you choose not to take advantage of this special prepaid package pricing you will receive information when the prepaid packages are delivered to the school with an opportunity to submit a reorder.
There will be no order forms sent home. If you would rather not submit an online order please call the studio 989-227-8441 and we will take your order over the phone.
NOTE: The school picture that you will see on the ordering site is a sample picture not of your child.
Directions:
You will NOT need to enter a password. Simply search for your student by name. You can type either their first or last name and you will see student names pop up. If you have multiple students please submit separate orders for each child. If you do not see your students name, choose "New Person" and add their information then click the "prepay for photos button"
You DO NOT need to send the printed receipt to school. We will already have a record of your payment!
