DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP PROCEDURES

CHANGES TO PICK UP LOCATION:

NEW THIS YEAR... Families with last names beginning with A-H will drop-off and pick-up on the Wilson Street side of the building. Families with last names beginning with I-Z will drop-off and pick-up on Park Avenue side of the building.

PHASE 2 Dismissal Procedures:

  • PK and Kindergarten students choosing to dismiss prior to nap/snack time will be picked up at 1:00 p.m. at the Park Avenue loading dock.
  • PK and Kindergarten students choosing to stay through nap/snack time and 1st-3rd grade students will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m. and must be picked up no later than 2:50 p.m. from their assigned pick up location (Wilson or Park Avenue).
  • 4th-8th grade students will all dismiss at 3:00 p.m. and must be picked up by 3:30 p.m. from their assigned pick up location (Wilson or Park Avenue).

Traffic Flow Specifics:

Guidelines proposed by the City of Lake Charles and the Alliance Transportation Group require that Park Avenue pick-up cars approach the Park Avenue lot eastbound from Lakeshore Drive ONLY. Wilson Street pick-up cars should approach Wilson Street eastbound from Dr. Michael DeBakey Drive ONLY. This will help with the overall traffic congestion on Ryan Street caused by cars stacking on Ryan Street in order to turn onto Park Avenue, as well as Dr. Michael DeBakey Drive. In addition, families are asked to not block driveways while waiting in the pick-up lines.

Please display name signs (provided at Back to School Event days and on the first day of school) while in pick up line.

PRAYER AGAINST THE CORONAVIRUS

O Mary, you shine continuously along our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.

We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the Cross were near to the pain of Jesus, keeping your faith firm.

You, Salvation of the Roman people, know what we need, and we trust that you will provide for those needs so that, as at Cana of Galilee, joy and celebration may return after this moment of trial.

Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us, He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and took up our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.

We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

PRAYER FOR SAFETY DURING HURRICANE SEASON

O God, Master of this passing world, hear the humble voices of your children. The Sea of Galilee obeyed Your order and returned to its former quietude. You are still the Master of land and sea. We live in the shadow of a danger over which we have no control: the Gulf, like a provoked and angry giant, can awaken from its seeming lethargy, overstep its conventional boundaries, invade our land and spread chaos and disaster.

During this hurricane season we turn to You, O loving Father. Spare us from past tragedies whose memories are still so vivid and whose wounds seem to refuse to heal with passing of time. O Virgin, Star of the Sea, Our Beloved Mother, we ask you to plead with your Son in our behalf, so that spared from the calamities common to this area and animated with a true spirit of gratitude, we will walk in the footsteps of your Divine Son to reach the heavenly Jerusalem where a stormless eternity awaits us. Amen.
