Remote Learning Continued...

I would like to thank our Ludwig Families for supporting students during Remote Learning. It has been a learning curve for everyone involved, so your understanding and flexibility are greatly appreciated! Please encourage your son/daughter to check in on the attendance link each day on the District 92 website. You can go to www.d92.org, click on the Remote Learning link at the top, and then click on the grade level attendance form. Below the attendance link will be the link to the learning activities for the day. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher or to me.

This format of learning will continue through May 29, which is the last day of school. Please encourage your children to participate in video meetings, complete assignments, and talk to you about how they are feeling. We realize that many students may have feelings of sadness, anxiousness, or confusion during this time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me, your child's teacher, or our social worker, Ms. Grahovec, if your student is struggling. We are here to help!

Our teachers have been working harder than ever preparing lessons, collaborating with their colleagues, providing feedback on assignments, and meeting with students via Zoom. I know the students look forward to seeing their teachers even though they aren't at school. Keep in mind that next week, May 4-8, is Teacher Appreciation Week! This is a great time for your children to send them an email thanking them for all they do!!

Big picture

Survey Results...

Thank you, Ludwig Families who completed the Remote Learning Survey that Dr. Arnold sent out in April. I had a chance to filter the results for Ludwig and wanted to share them with you. Please see the attachment at the bottom of this newsletter to review. I am happy to report that overall we are hearing positive things! These results have been shared with our staff and we are making adjustments based on the input received.

During Remote Learning...

Picking Up Student Supplies

District 92 is in the process of finalizing plans for picking up your students' supplies. A letter with specific information will be sent out soon from Dr. Arnold, however, the dates will be May 14th and 15th. We would appreciate that you return any library books or classroom books that your children have during this time. Carts and/or bins will be labeled for dropping off the books. We appreciate your ongoing understanding and support!

We Love a Parade!

Ludwig is planning on participating in a parade throughout the district on May 21st at 2:30 pm. The rain date will be on May 22nd at 2:30 pm. Information with the route and/or map will be sent out as soon as we have those details! I know the students will be excited to see their teachers and we can't wait to see our students!!

Moving Forward...

In all honesty, none of us know what the school year will look like in the fall. I am remaining optimistic that we will be back to normal. Please know that District 92 will continue to update you with any information throughout this pandemic.

As always, thank you for all you do!!
