A rock is made of a mixture of minerals and other materials.
Igneous
An Igneous rock is any rock that forms from magma or lava from a volcano.
Intrusive
There are two different groups of Igneous rocks. They are Intrusive and Extrusive. Examples of Intrusive rocks are Pegmatite, Peridotite, Diorite, Granite, and Gabbro.
Extrusive
Examples of Extrusive rocks are Basalt, Obsidian, Rhyolite, Andesite, and Scoria.
