Principal's Message

Hello Bulldogs Families,

I want to thank all of our families for the wonderful support they have provided this school year. We continue to deal with the effects of Covid, and your involvement/awareness of your child’s health plays an important role in our school’s efforts to deal with this pandemic. Please review info about this important topic so you understand the district procedures that are in place. While face coverings are not mandatory, they are highly recommended to help stop the spread of Covid.

There are many important topics included in this newsletter. First, I am in need of parent members for the RBSMS School Advisory Council. I have included the dates/times of the meeting. Please email my secretary, April Luneack aluneack@pasco.k12.fl.us you would like to volunteer. We need you!

Finally, I would like to let you know that our students have a great opportunity for participating in the Sarah Vanderberg After School Tennis program at RBSMS. Join us starting Tuesday, September 21st for an 8-week tennis and education after-school program exclusively for Stewart Middle School students! The program will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:30 p.m. at our school’s tennis courts. The last day of the program is November 11. Please complete the registration form (Click here) included in this issue of the Bulldog Bark and email it to Aluneack@pasco.k12.fl.us or have your child return the form to the back office if you would like to participate.

Looking forward to a great year,

Shae Davis, RBSMS Principal

All parents/guardians are encouraged to have a myStudent account in order to obtain student schedules, update emergency contacts and phone numbers, monitor student’s grades, assessment scores, assignments and attendance; as well as obtain progress report and report cards. You must have a parent account to obtain communication from the school or district that is sent through the myStudent system. In addition, by having a parent myStudent account, RYCOR access is directly available through this portal to pay for events such as field trips, dances, shirts, etc... Here's how to setup a parent account:

  1. Go to the the Parent information page on the district website (http://www.pasco.k12.fl.us/parents).
  2. Select Check Grades link (top left).
  3. Click the link to register a new account or add another student to your account.
  4. Follow the appropriate prompts for Registering, Add a Child or Password help.
  5. You will be required to enter the Parent PIN #, Student ID and Students' Birth date

Click here to see how to set up the Parent Portal

Student Self-Screener:

In order to protect the health and safety of employees, staff, and students, all those who access Pasco County School locations must self-screen for symptoms and other risk factors of COVID-19 daily. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you should NOT be on a school campus or school district office. All three self-screeners – the Student Self-Screener, the Employee Self-Screener, and the Visitor Self-Screener – are accessible from the district’s COVID-19 protocols page and are posted on each school web page.

Quarantined, Now What?

If your child is going to be absent because they are ill, they have been quarantined, or family emergency, all of the students’ assignments, for each class, are posted online for them. Attached are the instructions for students to access their work if they are absent from school for any reason(Click Here). If your child is in need of a computer, the school will issue one to them. Please contact April Luneack aluneack@pasco.k12.fl.us or contact her at 813-794-6502.

Report an Absence:

If your child is absent, or tardy to school, please complete the MACH form located on the school webpage using the REPORT AN ABSENCE OR TARDY tab. You will not need to submit anything else in writing once the MACH form is submitted
