Summary of the Nov. 15 Governing Board Meeting
Superintendent Report
The Superintendent shared information about events and activities around the District and celebrated student and staff achievements. He also provided an in-depth review of national Math and English Language Arts test results, state performance on standardized tests and how Amphitheater students did in relation to the state data.
While declines were reported nationwide, and the impact of the pandemic did affect our students, Amphitheater's scores surpassed state averages in math in all grade levels, and growth in English Language Arts also surpassed the state averages.
The full report from Superintendent Jaeger can be found at this link.
Additional Board Items
The Governing Board meeting on November 15 also featured an update on the status of construction projects, a review of enrollment numbers, an update on programs financed through the District's two overrides and a discussion of the 24/7 Rule for Interscholastic Athletes. After listening to this report and having some discussion, Board members indicated they would like administration to seek stakeholder input and bring the issue back in the spring, when the Code of Conduct is typically considered.
The Board also declared the Wednesday before Thanksgiving as Kindness Day in the District. Read the Kindness Day Resolution here.

P.S.: We've heard that people who submit nominations are sure to be on the nice list.

United Way Campaign
As you may recall, this year we added a fun element to the campaign: The site or team with the highest percentage of donors wins a cookout provided by Cabinet members.
And the winner is ... Keeling Elementary School!
Once again, thanks to all who took the opportunity to contribute to United Way, which helps support programs for children and families throughout the community.

Friday is Substitute Employee Day in the District
Read the full resolution here, and take a moment to thank our subs for supporting all of us!

Infinite Campus: Amphi's New Student Information System
The District continues to work on implementation plans, and that process has included a group of people from school sites and departments. You will be hearing more about the particulars as the team develops a comprehensive training schedule for everyone.
A couple of reminders:
- This change is necessary because our Tyler system will no longer be supported and will be going away.
- This change is separate from Schoology, which is a learning management system rather than a student information system.
- Please send any questions you have to answers@amphi.com, and we will compile them and share common questions and answers with everyone in future communications.

Have Questions? We Have Answers!
The Communications team receives the emails and will get answers ASAP. No question is too hard or too silly. We are here to help!
