Jean Vanier: Our School's namesake: Be Like Jean Vanier celebrating Unity during the Month of June

Jean Vanier taught us that unity helps us work and live together peacefully.

"One of the marvellous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn't as individuals. When we pool our strength and share the work and responsibility, we can welcome many people, even those in deep distress, and perhaps help them find self-confidence and inner healing." ~Jean Vanier

Planning for the 2019-2020 School year.

If your child/children will not be attending Jean Vanier next year, we would kindly ask that you share that information with the school office or your child's teacher. Having enrollment data that is as accurate as possible assists us in our planning.

**For 2019-20 we will be running Full day kindergarten classes. Our English language program will run on Tuesdays & Thursday with alternating Fridays. Our Ukrainian program will run on Monday and Wednesdays with alternating Fridays.

**Due to low enrollment, we will no longer be running a Preschool program for 2019-20 School year.

Please view the Fact Sheet below, regarding the cessation of the School Supplies program and other fee changes that will be implemented for the September 2019 school year.

Friendly reminder about keeping valuables at home

Our recess and lunchtime supervisors have noticed that some students have been bringing toys and other valuables to school. While fun, they can be lost or damaged, and often become a big distraction. Please talk to your child about keeping toys, especially Pokemon cards, at home. Thank you for your support in creating a focused learning environment.

Celebration of Learning: Student competency: Problem Solvers: What are we learning this week at JV?

There is a release party for our ducklings, "Sassy" & "Chill," at Glenwood Funeral Home Pond on Saturday, June 22nd at 10:30am. 12 ducklings, including our two, will be released.

ALL ARE WELCOME!
