Final Countdown
As much as we hate to say it, the school year is nearly over! We've truly enjoyed this school year and hate to see it end. We are sad to see our 5th graders move on to Middle School but we are excited to see our new kindergartners! It's so fun to see everyone get another year older and another year wiser!
We have a fun event coming up! On May 21st we will practice Habit 7 and Sharpen the Saw with a Field Day! This hasn't been done in quite a long time at Oregon Trail. But it will be a blast! Students will be able to participate in a variety of events and compete for a ribbon!
We need to pass along a few reminders as finish out the school year.
1. Early Pickups - Please be aware that even though it may be convenient to pick up your student 10 minutes before school lets out, teachers plan on instructing and putting the last minute touches on the day until the bell rings. Please limit last minute early pickups to occasions when they are truly needed.
2. Messages to students - Please try to have your messages to students called into the office by 2:30. If you send messages after that, we struggle to get that information to students in time.
3. Bus Zone/No Parking - There is no parking along the curb in the bus zone at any time during the day. There are guest parking spots available. We've had busses struggle to load/unload for field trips in the middle of the day because of cars parked in the bus zone.
Thank you for your attention to these processes. It's very important that we make things run as smoothly as possible. With over 600 students, it's important that everyone follow the procedures so that everything runs smoothly for everyone!
Have a great summer!
