Rock Out With A Book!
Congratulations to Mr. Merrill’s class! They are the winners of our summer reading program earning an extra recess with our reading specialists, Mrs. Snively and Mrs. Meade, and $300 toward their classroom library. Coming in a close second was Mrs. Scala’s class, Mr. Levy’s class, and Mrs. McPhee’s class. We are so proud of our Soaring Eagles for reading over the summer.
Kudos to Mrs. Rumpf and Mrs. Stoltz for their art rendition of our favorite books on the cafeteria windows!

New Breakfast and Lunch Information

Students may decline to take a fruit, however must select another component for the meal to be qualified under the school breakfast program. At the Middletown Grange Fair on August 14, Charlotte presented her chickens "Phephe", a Silver Laced Phoenix, and "Coco" a Cuckoo Maran. Both birds were awarded a blue ribbon for "Best of Breed". Phephe went on to win "Best in Show". The judge declared her to be the best large fowl.
Charlotte is a member of the "Bucks Clucks", a 4H-poultry club. The club meets every month and in addition to learning all about chickens, the club does community service. Charlotte raised 6 broilers on organic feed to provide food for people with compromised immune systems.
