Crosby Scholars Requirements

Students who enroll in the Crosby Scholars program are excited about their future and are dedicated to pursuing an education beyond high school. Starting as early as 6th grade, the Crosby Scholars program provides valuable information, opportunities and assistance to support students as they reach to achieve their goals.

There are a few requirements to stay active in Crosby Scholars each year:
  • students must perform and submit 2 hours of Community Service by April 15th,
  • agree to remain drug free, as well as obey all school rules and refrain from receiving Out of School Suspension,
  • and participate in Crosby Scholars Academy - a series of academic and personal enrichment workshops that cover a host of topics aimed at helping students prepare for successful college admission.

7th-8th Make-up Academy

Thursday, March 19th, 5:30-7:30pm

225 North Main Street

Salisbury, NC

Make-up 7th-8th grade Academy will be held in the Randy Hemann Room of the F&M Professional Center. Entrance located on the "Easy Street" walkway downtown, across from the Rowan County Courthouse. Come to 225 North Main Street, Salisbury and look for the Crosby Scholars arrow signs. You must stay for the entire event to receive credit for attendance.

Register from your Crosby Scholars portal

Every Crosby Scholar student and parent is given individual access to the Crosby Scholars portal, to register for Academy, find out about other upcoming events & opportunities, access Community Service forms, and do even more once in high school. To log in, visit my.crosbyscholars.org - your email address is your username. Check your email for a temporary password to access the Crosby portal, which was sent when you applied online this fall. Or, click Forgot My Password, to receive a new temporary password. Once you log in, you can create your own password. By allowing your student(s) to attend the Crosby Scholars Academy, you are agreeing to the terms of the Parent Partnership Agreement. This agreement will remain in effect for the duration of your student's participation in the program. Once your student attends Academy, the agreement is in effect until the student withdraws from the program, either voluntarily or by not fulfilling program requirements. Should you not agree with these terms, contact Jennifer Canipe, Executive Director, before allowing your student to attend.

Crosby Scholars is a unique college access program dedicated to offering free help to students in public middle and high schools in Rowan County to prepare academically, personally, and financially for college admission and other post-secondary opportunities best suited to a student's needs, aptitudes and dreams.
